ARTS AT OAKLAND: GOLDEN HOUR
Oakland Cemetery | Atlanta, GA. | May 19-27, 2018
By Dashboard U.S. with guest curator Oshun Layne
Now on view during Cemetery hours: Sunrise to Sunset
Featuring Plastic Aztecs, Khalilah Birdsong, InKyoung Chun, Ben Coleman, Paula Cuevas, Henry Detweiler, Sara Jimenez, Eto Otitigbe, Justin Rabideau, Ruth Stanford & Karen Tauches.
A series of large-scale, site-responsive installations about beauty and healing, despair and anxiety -- there’s even a little humor. The works play with nature’s great mystery -- the sun always rises, the sun always sets, but light and shadow are birthed in between.

Located on the ground floor of Kress building, STORYBOOTH is a public project that collects story recordings from the people of Montgomery, AL. Folks are invited to enter the booth, pick up the phone, and tell a story. As recordings come in, a collective narrative will emerge; each story will be filed away into a free public archive easily accessed by anyone online.
An artistically revitalized property transformed into a unique printmaking ecosystem in the Lower Ninth Ward, New Orleans.
The building houses a 20’ kinetic printmaking installation, a new digital and analog print shop, a rotating gallery, historic print archive, and several artist studios. The facility -- fathomed from a collaboration of 8 artists and collaborators -- offers free, participatory entertainment to the public, artist-focused programming, and a unique place of rendezvous and opportunity for artists/printmakers in the area.
