An installation by ARRRTADDICT transforming an inactive bank teller drive into an immersive garden exploring growth, reflection, and the value we find within ourselves.

Activated at Explore Gwinnett’s Artober, a month-long celebration of art, culture, and community, GROW HERE transforms an inactive bank teller drive through a space once centered around money, transactions, and external measures of value into a vibrant garden centered around a different kind of worth: our own. Where cars once passed through to exchange currency, visitors are now invited to step out, slow down, interact, and see themselves differently in an immersive, larger than life garden filled with whimsical sculptural flowers, oversized grass forms, suspended traffic mirrors, and a lush faux grass floor.

As visitors move through the garden, they repeatedly catch unexpected glimpses of themselves from above, surrounded by flowers. By transforming the site into a garden filled with mirrors, GROW HERE redirects that search for value back toward the viewer. Visitors discover their reflection repeatedly from different angles, embedded within the flowers and color around them. The garden becomes a visual reminder that beauty, worth, and growth aren't things we have to acquire from somewhere else, and sometimes, we simply need the right environment to see it.

About ARRRTADDICT

c/o Crystal Alexis

ARRRTADDICT is a multidisciplinary artist whose work celebrates culture, spirituality, and identity through vibrant visual storytelling. Rooted in her Puerto Rican heritage, she creates murals, branded merchandise , and immersive experiences that explore themes of growth, healing, and self-discovery while amplifying the voices and histories of marginalized communities.

Known for her radiant color palettes, expressive linework, tropical plant motifs and signature leopard print, she paints figures in vibrant skin tones that invite viewers to connect through their similarities rather than their differences. Drawing inspiration from Caribbean and African diasporic traditions, her practice uses color, pattern, symbolism, and immersive environments as catalysts for reflection, connection, and transformation . She creates spaces that encourage viewers to recognize beauty, value, and humanity within themselves and one another.
