A cross-country public disruption

Dashboard is taking Michael Oliveri’s large-scale public art disruption "UFO" on a road trip across the US! Exploring notions of public hoax and myth-making, the UFO will make stops in Roswell, NM; Truth or Consequences, NM; Phoenix, AZ; and its final destination, High Desert Test Sites in Joshua Tree, California.
A light and sound experience will accompany the visual installation. Visitors will have the option to meet the artist, explore the artwork, and take photos with UFO for $1.
June 8: Dashboard, Michael and friends leave ATL
Stop in Roswell, New Mexico
Stop in Truth or Consequences, New Mexico
Stop in Phoenix, Arizona
June 16: Arrive Joshua Tree, install at Coyote Dry Lake (High Desert Test Sites)
June 17: Opening Event** and on view thru June 19
June 20: Install at Gamma Gulch (High Desert Test Sites)and on view thru June 25
ABOUT MICHAEL OLIVERI:
Michael Oliveri is a professor at the University of Georgia Lamar Dodd School of Art where he founded the ArtX program of study, which considers historical developments, critical ideas and current practices related to time-based art, technology and science. He has exhibited his work internationally.
